Look what I found in Chattanooga!

No, this isn't the British countryside. It's Chattanooga. I wish I could explain this photo, but I don't know what this phone booth from merry ole England is doing in Chattanooga. I pass it on my way to work. It appeared one day by the side of the road. The only indication that it might belong to someone is a small note that says "willful destruction of this property could lead to prosecution."

Amazing find. When I saw this I wondered if London had suffered a nuclear blast. Great shot.

There's no phone inside and it looks like it would take a great deal of work to restore. I will admit the thought of bringing it home with me had crossed my mind.

As I said, I pass by everyday. If anything happens with it, I'll let everyone know with more photos.

Good theme photo. If painted, this would look great in a flower bed.

So it is not working of course. With a little repair it could be wonderful on anyplace. That´s funny, abandoned and protected by a sign.

That warning notice is probably original. Hard to find these old phone boxes anywhere here now; they've all been bought up and shipped to the States!

12 months on and Hyde DP is revisiting those that took part in the "other city" theme, with links to the other participants.

I actually own the business and the phone box.. Its here because my Family is from Wales and we import English & French antiques and sell them from the shop that the phone box is in front of. We've had it for many many years and we use it as a landmark for our customers.
