Interesting delivery
I wish I could have thought of a better title but I just took this pictures minutes ago and decided it was my picture of the day. There is a house under construction across the street and they were delivering drywall this morning.

Carol, today i read a tiny article about Chattanooga in our daily newspaper, about your schoolbuses not having picked up kids for the second time this yr because of the price of petrol!
It said a gallon is about 2,30 euro.
For us that is still cheap!
Overhere, a gallon would be almost 5 dollar!!!
I must admit it wouldn't have caught my eye, had i not recognized the name chattanooga from your photo's !
It's a small world.
dutchie, it is a small world! They closed schools (I think it was for 2 days) in one of the smaller towns next to us. Hamilton County schools (of which Chattanooga is a part) did not close--much to my children's disappointment! Some say gas prices were not the entire reason they closed. We had a mild winter and the school systems did not use their "snow days". I have a feeling that by saying they were saving money instead of using up unused snow days they saved themselves a lot of grief from parents.
I guess we in the US have been spoiled by low gas prices. It wouldn't be so bad if the price increase had been gradual but it jumped very quickly. I'm spending 3 times as much per week on gas as I was a few months ago. It's putting a strain on my wallet!
It is a small world--I wouldn't have thought that news from Chattanooga would "travel" that far.
