A different kind of mailbox


I took this picture of a mailbox in front of the Post Office. If you read the sign posted on it you'll realize it's not an ordinary mailbox despite its location. The placard on top states that it's for the proper disposal of worn-out flags. I'm not sure who picks up the ones in this box, but The American Legion has a special ceremony for the disposal of flags. If interested, you can read more about it here.

Sorry I haven't learned how to do the "read about it here" yet with the link to the other site. One of my sons usually helps me with that stuff but right now one is in school and the one who just graduated is enjoying his first day of "freedom" by sleeping!
