Real Estate market

These boxes all have those free real estate magazines. I don't know about other parts of the country, but here in Chattanooga it's a buyers market. Inventory exceeds demand. Last year at this time they were building houses in our area they were being sold before completion. Right now, several new homes are for sale in my neighborhood and have been since spring. There is a brand new subdivision with a paved road underground utilities and cleared lots but no houses. I'm not sure what happened but it's stood empty like that for around 6 months.

We now have new "free" papers that are distributed when you get out of the Metro. At first it was one, but now there are like 4-5 people shoving them in your face. "Free" is new in Paris!

Regarding yesterday's post, be sure to see Boston's 940 pound pumpkin!!Amazing!

Hey Sweetie, Hope this finds you Smilin. How much is Real Estate over there? My Mum live in the Mountains of California with her Hubby and Wants to Move! Of Course she wants to come back here. But They are where they are at the Moment. It would be Interesting to know the price of land there compared to here. Take Care and Have Fun xxx

Those boxes are ubiquitous in our area. I personally think they're a blight on the landscape, even tho they look ever-so-nice in your photo.

j. andrew - yes, they do grab our attention
eric -- that is amazing!!
Herbert - welcome fellow Chattanoogan!
Kris -- most of those papers probably end up in the recycle bins!
Carol - welcome to the family! I will update my wiki list to include you
Coralee-- long time no see!! Real estate prices vary wildly depending on what part of the country you live in. California houses are probably at least 5 times higher! The house we have in Chattanooga would cost at least 2 or 3 times as much in Massachusetts where we used to live and maybe more, depending on how close to Boston it was.
Kate -- I agree! But I confess I sometimes pick up one just to look at the houses for sale. ;)

You are not alone in the down housing market. I have a place outside Denver I would love to sell, and another in Fairfax, VA. I buy in sellers markets, and sell in buyers markets :(
