More Civil War re-enactors

Seeing this picture reminded me of all the "playing war" my brothers and sisters and I did as children. These guys are just continuing the game into adulthood, aren't they. Except maybe they're actually learning a little history in the process. We were just making it up as we went along.

I'm returning your courtesy visit to mine, thanks. Actually, I saw the name & thought:"AT last my sister has finally gotten around to visiting my blog!" No chance!
So what a surprise to find you in Chattanooga! I met a family from your town 8 years ago. It was on top of Massada,Israel, the hill fortress abovethe Dead Sea where the Jews made their last stand, enduring a 3-year siege by the Romans in AD 60-ish. They all committed suicideratherthan betaken prisoner. Anyway, the dad of the family & my partner's Dad both turned out to be nuclear physicists - small world! Your civil war was truly awful. I have read a lot. I can't understand people renacting battles anywhere. I agree with Annie's comment. Boys & toys.
